We are seeking a Project Manager to work on the programme management for a high profile client of Government Services.

National - key locations include Midlands, London & Leatherhead.

Necessary for individual to be mobile, with a base in one of the key locations




Hold an undergraduate degree – ideally in computer science, maths, or engineering.

Hold, have held or eligible to apply for UK based security clearance

Have a Project/Programme Management qualification such as: APM –


Experience and Skills


Proven ability to manage large-scale/complex transformation programmes and projects within a public sector environment (scoping, planning and execution)

Management and direction change programme with agile development of systems

Proven experience of proactive change management and delivery of service change

Proven ability to assimilate planning information from a variety of sources, understand the impact/implications of mis-alignments and discrepancies and propose actions.

Proven ability to

collaborate with team members to explain the impact on other suppliers to achieve optimal time, cost, performance


Pro-actively manages the quality and performance of the project/programme and its products thereby ensuring supporting work-streams are delivered

Proven experience of setting plans at a strategic level incorporating aggressive timescales and manage to successful


Demonstrates strategic awareness with the ability to see the ‘bigger picture’ but able to translate and describe in detailed plan form

Demonstrates good organisational skills giving the ability to deliver to timeframes and estimates.

Demonstrates good written, oral, comprehension and presentational skills to enable effective communication with customers and management.

Experience of the issues surrounding delivery of business transformation programmes and projects

Ability to manage senior stakeholders including SROs, Executive Teams

Understanding of the principles, development and application of RAID, RACI and risk management.

Demonstrates practical application of Programme and Change Management methodologies, techniques and tools.

Experience in definition and coordination of Systems Development and Application support.


Experience of delivering change in a UK Policing environment

Experience of working in a SharePoint solution environment


Working within a programme team,

Supports the liaison between the project and function teams, e.g. Business Design team in the development and implementation of new systems and enhancement of current systems.

Supports the creation of the standard project management products of plans, schedules, budgets, and reports that related to scope packages.

Supports projects through all phases from definition through development to close.

Establishes priorities for the completion of assigned tasks and monitors progress of others.

Advises Project Board, resolve issues and recommend corrective action as appropriate so that project is sustained and implemented

Develops and maintains task management information, collects and analyses project status information to help develop project reporting.

Provides analysis and support material for potential change events to allow project to make informed decisions.


Overseas the delivery of all elements of the TF Fingerprint Capability in line with the technical and business designs signed off by the Design Board

Supports the HOB Biometric Lead in aligning and supporting the links between TF and HOB

Liaises with the Stakeholder/Communications and Transition Teams to ensure consistent up-to-date messaging can be developed and disseminated in a timely manner.

Develops and maintain project documentation in line with the TF Programme Office

Supports the Head of Projects in the development of updates for PRB including highlight reporting to Head of Projects for review at the Project Board


Engage with the Business Transition Team

and support the development of the customer engagements through exchange of key information regarding the market place


Identification of tools, practices and processes that could improve how the Transforming Forensics programme is delivered;
