KBR Australia has been engaged in working with Defence in Australia for over 20 years and has developed core competencies in systems engineering, systems and enterprise architecture, project management and integrated logistics support, to provide technical and management assistance to a wide range of defence projects.
Our Government Services division is seeking a Combat Systems Engineer to join the LHD Project. The role is based at Garden Island in Sydney.
Undertaking technical investigations.
Prepare technical engineering documentation including design reports, data requirements, safety assessment, and engineering change proposals.
Raising and progressing engineering change proposal documentation in accordance with the clients process.
Contribute to, develop and execute the business development and engineering vision that achieves the goals and business objectives of the company.
Assist with preparation and/or review of work instructions and maintenance schedules.
Working under the instruction of the project supervisor to complete engineering tasks as required.
Designing and documenting work to a high standard, including work on engineering reports and contract documents.
Completing work within negotiated standards of time, cost and quality.
Meeting legal requirements relating to the project.
Development of integrated systems open architectures.
Combat Mission Systems, Tactical data links and communications systems.
Knowledge of radar and sonar systems.
Degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in combat / weapons engineering.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Defence or related technical industry.
The ability to obtain a Defence Security Clearance.
