ASSOCIATE PROJECT MANAGER, ENGINEERING
Under broad direction, the Associate Project Manager - Engineering is responsible for all phases of planning and execution on a medium-sized (typically less than $100 million total installed cost) project or may be responsible for a segment of a larger project.
This position is located at a client site in Newark, Ohio. No relocation or per diem will be offered.
Plans, organizes, coordinates and controls projects in accordance with the established policies, procedures, systems, and requirements approved by the company.
Has responsibility for day to day contact and communication with the client and focuses on providing client satisfaction.
Possesses knowledge of the respective industry. Supervises personnel assigned to the project through subordinate leaders.
May also serve as the proposal manager of medium-sized projects.
Job role has budgetary type of accountabilities.
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, preferred Mechanical or Civil/Structural
years related experience
Project management experience a plus
Must be able to multi-task, maintain confidentiality, and interface with clients, construction contractors and management
Work is located at a chemical manufacturing plant and requires exposure to ambient temperature extremes
Work may require using and wearing personal protective equipment such as fire retardant clothing, hearing and eye protection, hard hat and steel-toed boots
Day-to-day physical requirements involve standard office activities including sitting/standing for extended periods of time, attending meetings, use of keyboard and mouse repetitively, lifting and carrying less than 20 lbs frequently, etc
Work requires moderate physical exertion including walking to operating areas and walking up stairs
May require walking the plant property
