Project Manager, Engineering
With broad direction autonomy, manages a program of small to mid-sized capital projects having a TIC value, typically, of up to $20 million.
Candidate will be responsible to lead individual projects as well as provide oversight / coordination of other project managers.
Work with organization to grow regional business by
identifying potential clients, establishing relationships, contracts and pattern of work
ensuring satisfaction of existing clients
increasing offerings to existing clients
Prepare proposals in response to requests:
Work closely with Sales to evaluate inquiry and interpret requirements
Define precise scope of work and any required clarifications
Plan the project execution
Prepare estimate of costs
Provide written content in support of the proposal
Work with Sales to develop and deliver presentations to potential clients
Assure safe project execution to the client's satisfaction, consistent with cost, schedule and contractual requirements while maintaining bottom line responsibility for financial success
Assure the project execution is in accordance with policies, procedures, systems, and requirements approved by the company.
Assure proper change management, project controls and reporting internally and to client
Serve as a point of contact between the client and company for specific project
Champion safety on individual projects and across program
Provide sponsorship / oversight of other project managers executing projects within the program.
Assist with program budget and forecasting
Develop program templates to streamline processes.
Drive program to deliver capital effectiveness to our clients
Interface with clients as primary contact for project execution feedback
Work with operations organization to identify and drive continuous improvement items
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required
years’ of related project management experience
years’ management experience
Strong communication skills, including presentation and speaking skills
Experience in executing capital projects in the chemical and/or refining industries
Occasionally travel to client sites and off-site meetings
