Responsible for study, design, and specification and services related to process plants such as ammonia, ethylene, mineral processing, specialty chemicals, refined products, oil and gas production, forest products and water. Responsible for heat and material balance, the development of process flow diagrams, piping and instrument diagrams, system design parameters, and design or rating of equipment and apparatus such as heat exchangers, vessels, reactors, etc. May also be responsible for development of process simulators and advanced controls/process optimization.

Under broad direction, supervises and leads a group of engineers. Sets the technical standards and procedures of a group of engineers and designers. Conducts various aspects of performance management such as performance appraisal or counseling of employees with behavior or technical performance problems and assists in the interviewing, hiring, and assignment of new personnel in the discipline. Job role is responsible for a measurable asset such as an assigned staff and budget. Skills are typically acquired through an undergraduate degree in Engineering and a minimum of 10 years related experience, with average experience of 20

years. Administrative or supervisory responsibilities at this level include tactical responsibility for supervising engineers on all projects requiring this discipline. Incumbents at this level will usually hold a certification as a Licensed/Chartered Professional Engineer.



Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering required; advanced degree preferred



years related experience (operation, design, licensing) in the Naphtha Upgrading technologies listed above.


Isomerization experience highly desirable


Proven experience selling/business development for technology, engineering services, equipment and/or automation, etc. required


Experience specifying technical offerings and/or processing engineering services required


Must have strong leadership, interpersonal and communications skills;


Seeking a candidate with international work background


Must be willing and available to travel domestic and international; approximately 40-50% as needed
