Sr. Specialist, Engineering Systems

Position Description/Job Responsibilities

Functional job responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

Monitor the production application environments taking such action as may be necessary to ensure maximum availability and correct operational issues related to the Smart 3D (S3D) suite of applications. Be able to provide support in S3D related systems, including but not limited to model reviewing applications (e.g. SmartPlant Review, NavisWorks, etc), piping specifications development, pipe support, ISO/drawing production and Material Takeoff from 3D model, etc. Perform 3D model conversion among various 3D modeling systems, including S3D, PDS and AVEVA E3D/PDMS etc.. Assist in providing support in 3D model related areas, including but not limited to piping specifications, pipe support, ISO/drawing production and Material Takeoff from 3D model, etc.. Provide support for a suite of CAD/Piping tools, both off-the-shelf and custom developed by KBR. This will required advanced skill set and knowledge not only in the 3D CAD area but actual experience and skillet in programming code development as well. You will be responsible in setting up, monitoring and see through the operational effectiveness of project life cycle from application support perspective. We will need you to participate in the development of new custom applications used to support the standard applications. An added responsibility will be that you will be responsible for developing and maintaining application systems architecture, interfaces and technical documentation.



Undergraduate degree in any Engineering discipline, Computer Science or a related field.

Skills are typically acquired through an undergraduate degree in any Engineering discipline, Computer Science, Information Technology or a minimum of 5 years related experience, with average experience of 6-10 years.

A good knowledge of how to deploy and administer deploy Intergraph S3D in an enterprise environment.

Experience configuring S3D project deliverables; including project-level drawing and report templates and their promotion to the corporate seed project.

A good knowledge of creating catalog components for project use and their promotion to the corporate catalog.

A good knowledge of administering piping specifications and the ability to assist the Piping Specification Team when the need arises.

Experience in requirements analysis, design, configuration/development, unit testing and support of Engineering IT applications and in particular S3D.

A good knowledge of data processing including technical knowledge of IT hardware, software, networks, and Oracle or SQL Server database technology

Working knowledge of Multi-tier Application Environment, Windows Server, IIS, and XML/XSLT Technology

Ability to work independently and keep team management adequately informed

Must be well organized, able to handle multiple tasks, have excellent written and oral communication skills, and demonstrate an eagerness to learn and provide superior customer service
