Position Title:

Senior Benefits Specialist

Position Description/Job Responsibilities:

Health & Welfare and support for Retirements & Savings plans

·

Vendor management on a day-to-day basis. Primary liaison for health & welfare vendors assigned to this role.

·

Partner with Benefits team, HR, HRIS and IT on benefits matters.

·

Support of Sharepoint Portal in connection with HRIS resources

·

Track HRIS issues including chasing problems with interface files with the help of IT to determine the root problem

·

Proactive audit of programs and related systems to ensure that administration of programs is as expected and taking steps to resolve issues that arise as a result of audit.

·

Support implementation of new vendors and programs from end-to-end participating in RFP process, interface file creation with IT resources, follow up after installation to audit for problems internally and external to our systems and processes.

·

Resolve complex / escalated employee and claim and eligibility issues with HRIS, process and vendors

·

Supports annual open enrollment, operative planning and onboarding activities

·

Making adjustments in SAP and ADP systems for benefit deductions. Working error reports and or oversight of reports being completed by offshore resources.

·

Reporting and special projects as they arise.

·

Support in preparation of regulatory documents Summary Plan Descriptions (SPDs), Summaries of Material Modifications (SMMs) and Summary Annual Reports (SARs)

·

Continued training on systems and technical skills associated with position.

·

Demonstrate professional ethics and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

Requirements/Qualifications:

Undergraduate degree

·

4-6 years minimum benefits experience

·

Experience managing and implementing vendors

·

Experience implementing vendors and coverage lines

·

Heavy Annual Enrollment participation

·

Experience managing projects

·

Analytical skills required

·

Global Benefits experience helpful

·

Strong understanding of regulatory compliance requirements

·

Strong written and verbal communications skills required

·

Strong Microsoft Office skills required: Intermediate level or better for Excel, Word, and Outlook

·

Ability to learn systems quickly such as HRIS and related programs, SAP experience a plus

·

Commitment to ethics in representing department to internal (employees) and external customers is required
