Global Facility Asset Manager
KBRwyle US Government Services Division seeks a senior-level Asset Manager to lead our corporate implementation of asset management planning, life cycle performance, and predictive/preventive maintenance standards on a global basis in support of US government, military, and light commercial facilities that KBRwyle operates and maintains at multiple international locations.
Candidates must have an engineering-based understanding of industry-leading operation and maintenance practices, including optimized planning and scheduling of predictive and preventive maintenance activities; understand reliability-centered maintenance and performing cost-benefit analysis.
The successful candidate must have “grass roots” knowledge of the fundamental craft labor skills needed to perform routine maintenance activity related to facility and mechanical system operation and repair.
The successful candidate must demonstrate an ability to perform root cause analysis, failure mode effects analysis, and possess an entrepreneurial ability to solve problems and implement solutions.
Focus Areas of Asset-Related Capability:
The successful candidate must demonstrate ability and understanding of operating and maintaining building envelopes (roof, siding, and superstructure);
heating, ventilating & air conditioning (HVAC) systems; water and wastewater treatment; water distribution and wastewater collection systems; diesel power generation; electrical power distribution; electrical lighting; and incineration systems.
Candidate must have experience designing and implementing preventive and predictive maintenance and corrective maintenance programs. Experience must include developing and optimizing time-based maintenance requirements that provide a basis for planning, scheduling, and executing scheduled and unscheduled (emergency or corrective) maintenance. Experience should also include implementation of proactive maintenance practices such as warranty management, system and instrument calibration, and technical literature manual management.
Focus Areas of Computerized Maintenance Management System Capability:
Job tasks also include assessing, selecting, and optimizing our corporate suite of asset management tools, such as IBM Maximo, to maximize asset efficiency and minimize labor costs required to meet our client’s performance expectations. Candidate must possess an understanding of how to align current standard operating procedures with optimized routines to obtain enhanced performance results.
General Capability Requirements:
This role will serve as a functional lead, reporting to our Vice President of Operations, while partnering with site-based program managers, to ensure that process improvements are implementable within the unique constraints of our remote/austere sites and the range of equipment and facilities currently being maintained.
Additional required skills and experience include:
Recommending and then implementing improved maintenance practices and strategies across the Business Unit contract portfolio
Serving as the Business Unit’s industry liaison to identify, recommend, and implement maintenance best practices and emerging technologies
Developing metrics and key performance indicators to monitor facility and equipment performance
Developing reliable productivity rates for typical O&M services being performed
Making decisions about selection of, and refinements within, computerized maintenance management tools and programs to obtain enhanced performance
Coordinating with operations, accounting/finance, and business development to develop, implement, track, and ultimately market, resulting proprietary methodologies
Conducting autonomous operational assessments as to the effectiveness of individual project maintenance programs; recommend actionable changes as appropriate to address deficiencies identified; and follow-up to ensure desired outcomes were achieved
Willingness to travel to remote project sites, often for one- to three-month deployments as required, to implement and oversee implementation of maintenance processes
Educational and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, to include mechanical, electrical, systems, chemical or process engineering or related technical curriculum. Professional engineering registration is not required, but would be viewed as a positive
Minimum 10 years’ experience in a commercial, industrial, or military facility operation and maintenance programs
Minimum 5 years demonstrated experience developing and implementing predictive and preventive maintenance programs
Minimum 5 years demonstrated experience employing a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) such as Maximo or equivalent to initiate, plan, schedule, execute, and complete work or job orders
Minimum 5 years demonstrated experience performing trend analysis proprietary CMMS data to optimize asset lifecycles while attaining higher levels of operational reliability with corresponding reductions in labor, equipment, and material costs
