Position Title:

AV Systems Administrator

Position Description/Job Responsibilities:

Primary purpose of this position is to plan and manage delivery of AV projects in support of business objectives and on-going AV operations. This position is for on-site assistance and is responsible for collaborating with clients, IT management team and other company employees to deliver an array of customer service focusing on integration and installation assistance in conference rooms.

Daily responsibilities will include the following; •

Coordinate all in house activities associated with AV project execution, including submittals, design, testing and troubleshooting. •

Troubleshoot and repair newly installed and existing custom AV and multimedia systems. •

Assisting with setting up audio/visual equipment for Board meetings, conferences and events. •

Perform preventative maintenance to resolve problem or identify resolution to appropriate vendor or manufacturer •

Perform routine testing and problem diagnosis for projectors, microphones, speakers, amplifiers & LCD/Plasma Displays •

Provide documentation for quotes & bids detailing equipment, cost, labor estimates, pre-installation requirements and preform site surveys. •

Perform remote testing for local and regional offices. •

Assist with technical oversight, red lines, and design questions during integration & commissioning of systems. •

Documenting details for all conference rooms in the company. •

Interact with clients in professional, customer service oriented manager. •

Coordinate support activities with general contractor or client as required. •

Regularly inspect installation work, test or certify the performance of installed systems and provide training to staff •

Enforces compliance of personnel with administrative policies, procedures, safety rules and government regulations.



Three (3) years experience in commercial AV systems.

Excellent knowledge of Polycom HDX & Group Systems, Cisco SX Codecs, Crestron & Extron control systems •

Knowledge of Cisco IP phones,TMS, Expressways, Jabber, Pexip & Microsoft Skype would be advantageous. •

Experience in reading/understanding architecture, electrical, structural & AV systems drawings.

Strong planning, organization, and time management skills. •

Exceptional knowledge of all types of computer video display formats and configurations. •

Attention to detail and quality workmanship. •

Documentation experience with Microsoft Visio, Word, Excel and PowerPoint and CAD beneficial.

Must be responsible, self-motivated, self-started, personable and well-organized. •

Ability to reach, bend, stoop, push and/or pull, and lift/move up to 35 pounds, climb ladders and work overhead. •

Prior experience working on construction sites, good knowledge of data & low voltage cabling. •

Capacity to work in a fast paced, high pressure environment, balance multiple tasks with changing priorities. •

Associates Degree, trade school or AV / industry certifications beneficial. •

Work well independently, as a team player and also work outside of regularly scheduled hours on occasion. •

Valid Drivers License.
