Qualifications

: Engineering Degree or similar

Preferred:

Practioner in one of the Recognised PM methodologies, MSP, APM or PRINCE2

Experience and Skills:

Essential:

Proven record in implementation of risk management practices on major projects

Knowledge of Programme / Project management best practice e.g. MSP / Prince 2

Practical experience in Programme / Project management (including risk and benefits management specific) tools

Strong interpersonal skills

Good client facing skills with the confidence to deal with people at all levels

Management capability working independently and collaboratively as part of a wider team

Good IT knowledge

Excellent verbal and written communication skills including report writing and presentation skills

Preferred:

Proven record in implementation of benefits management practices on major projects

Qualifications:

The Risk and Benefits Manager will be responsible for supporting the Transforming Forensics Programme PMO Lead in:

·

The consistent implementation of risk (including opportunities and issues), Assumptions, Decisions and Benefits Management practices & standards in compliance with the client policies and strategies. This will cover a specific Projects / programme within the company’s portfolio

·

Developing a common set of risk, assumptions, decisions and benefits templates and best practice guidance notes to be used by the programme and projects

·

Helping facilitate a common programme culture by informing about risk and benefits management methodologies, and best practices, through implementing a common project language, RAG metrics and reporting metrics

·

Providing Risk, Opportunity, Issue, Assuption, Decisions and Benefits information into relevant Programme Reporting Packs

·

Supporting implementation (as required) and innovation of specialist tools / software to facilitate risk and benefits management

·

Providing risk and benefits training (as required) to the programme and project teams

·

Interfacing with management groups with the programme including Business & Technical Design Authority, Transition

and Projects

Risk Management Specific Responsibilities and Duties:

·

Preparation and maintenance of the risk documentation (including management plan, guidance notes and templates)

·

Organising and facilitating Programme and Project risk workshops

·

Maintaining the Programme and Project RAID (Risk, Assumptions, Issues, Decisions and Opportunities) Logs

·

Facilitating a consistent risk approach adoption across the Programme

·

Ensuring Programme Risk Owners are in place and the risks are profiled, communicated, understood and being managed

·

Identification of common risks, opportunities and issues across the Programme

·

Preparing reports and dashboards by collecting, analysing and summarising information and trends as requested by the PMO and other governance bodies

·

Providing assurance to the Programme that risk are being effectively managed

Benefits Management Specific Responsibilities and Duties:

·

Preparation and maintenance of the Programme Benefits Management Documentation (including strategy, procedures, guidance notes and templates)

·

Maintaining of the Programme Benefits Register

·

Managing and maintaining the Programme Benefits Map against interdependencies and Realisation Plan(s)

·

Facilitating benefits adoption across the Programme

·

Ensuring Benefits Owners are in place and the benefits are profiled, communicated, understood and being managed

·

Initiating and facilitating benefits reviews to provide assurance / progress of benefits realisation, and that all projects are aligned to the agreed Benefits Management Strategy and Map

·

Preparing reports and dashboards by collecting, analysing and summarising information and trends as requested by the PMO and other governance bodies

·

Providing assurance to the Programme that the benefits are measurable, realistic and achievable and that the risk to the benefits are being effectively managed
