Within the Operations teams the Project Managers is responsible for the day-to-day management of the assigned tasks / projects from an operational, commericial and financial perspective to meet both the Client’s contracted objectives and KBR’s targets.

The role is responsible for the provision of commercial and contract management support to a large multi-disciplinary programme team dedicated to delivering the DP role in the ESMCP.

The role provides all day to day commercial and contract management and completion of related tasks for the head contract with the Authority and the interface with the KBR Supply Chain in support of the rest of the DP programme team.

The tasks and day to day activities comprise:

Participate in and provide input to all aspects of the programme in the delivery of the DP’s obligations under its Agreement especially in all aspects of the services in accordance with Schedule 2.1 of the DP Agreement.

Develop effective relationships with relevant Authority, DP Subcontractor and Authority Supply Chain representatives

Support the production of financial models that contribute to the development of pricing estimates and input contractual terms to change requests.

Support the identification, negotiation and ensure Client agreement of change requests, amendments etc. to properly protect KBR’s interests in respect of and financial and legal liability issues associated with changed scope or other requirements. Work closely with the KBR Commercial team with regards to all aspects of Change.

Interface with internal KBR functions to ensure contract compliance and consolidate and coordinate that information as advice to the Programme Manager as required. Constantly engage with the FAM teams in order to make commitments (Service Requests / Service Orders) to the DP Supply Chain once work has been approved by the Authority

Manage the delivery of objectives by providing task management and direction to any junior team members.

Overview of payments for subcontractors, through liaison with the Programme Cost Manager.

Reviews and approves timesheets across the programme


Working with Cost Manager and accountant to produce cost reports and cost forecasts.

Monitoring allocation of staff and resources between KBR and DP subcontractors in liaison with the Programme Manager.

Support internal management control measures, including all reporting alongside the programme manager.

Shadow the role of the Programme Manager and step into the role for short periods as required.

Provide resource management and tracking for all DP personnel and interface to wider KBR resource team.



Applicant must have experience working in a project management environment, ideally liaising / working with civil authorities, defence or engineering/project management.

Account management experience maintaining services to

client organisation


Formal Project Management qualifications from a recognised body

Excellent Interpersonal skills – Client interface by its nature requires frequent interchange of information and interaction with others.

The individual must be an excellent communicator and team player but understand the impact of information being relayed.

Deadlines – works well under pressure of tight deadlines

Organisational skills – to maintain oversight of a number of concurrent and disparate activities and team efforts

Flexibility – based in Leatherhead / client site.
