which includes proprietary technology focused on the monetization of hydrocarbons (especially natural gas and natural gas liquids) in ethylene and petrochemicals; ammonia, nitric acid and fertilizers; oil refining and gasification.
As the Director of KBR’s Syngas Product Line (PSL), you will be responsible for this specific line of business covering the EMEA region (Europe, Middle East & Africa) within KBR’s Technology Business Unit. Job duties include developing, implementing and achieving the strategic and annual growth plans and associated budgets for the Syngas Technology. Your responsibilities include the development and implementation of the Syngas Product Line growth strategy, yearly operational objectives, organizational structure and staffing to ensure the right mix of talent for the offering range which includes licensed technology, basic engineering design, proprietary equipment, ACE applications and technical support services.
This role is responsible all area functions including business planning, quarterly plan execution, business forecasting, staff development, staff management and recruitment.
The Director of Syngas works closely with the Vice-President of Syngas, based in Houston Texas. to ensure alignment of the global PSL business direction and support resource allocation across our US, UK, India and China design centers. You will be responsible for managing a staff of 10 direct and indirect reports and experience of operating in a matrix organisation.
Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering required, MBA preferred
Extensive relevant experience, including in a management assignment.
Experience in Ammonia Technology and overall Fertilizer Industry.
Experience specifying technical offerings and/or processing engineering services required covering Feasibility Studies and Basic Engineering Design Packages.
Proven Profit & Loss (P & L) experience selling technology, engineering services, equipment, software, automation, etc. is required.
Seeking a candidate with international work background in Europe, Middle East & Africa.
Seeking someone with experience and ability to manage a staff of 10
direct, indirect reports.
Must be willing and available to travel 40% domestic and/or internationally, as needed.
